Tuba 24

What’s the world's best small pro-sound sub? Professional DJs know that it’s the Tuba 24.

This powerhouse can be built as small as 16 x 24 x 24 inches, weighing as little as 35 pounds, yet it handily beats the $650, 66 pound, 15 inch loaded Community Sound XLT51e.

Need more output? Build it wider. This chart shows a 24 inch wide T24, loaded with one Eminence S2010 driver, compared to a benchmark 15 inch loaded sub, the Mackie SW1501:

Need more power? Load it with two Eminence S2010 and see how it smacks the Yamaha SW118V!

Horn loaded subs work best in stacks, and the T24 is no exception to the rule. But when you stack a pair of T24s and V couple them as shown in the plans you get another 2.5dB output compared to without the coupler. That’s almost the equivalent of doubling your power.

When you’re ready to pack it up for the night clamp a pair of T24s together and wheel them out. No bending to lift heavy subs!

Even if you’ve never built a cab before you can build the T24. Included in the plans are instructions on how to build and use assembly tools, and help is only a post away on the Forum. Best of all, you can’t beat the price. Using an Eminence BP102 driver you can build a Tuba 24 for $170, complete. Can’t build your own? Have some custom built for you by one of our Authorized Builders. You’ll still end up paying less and getting more than with any other sub.
