Titan 48

In Greek mythology the Titans stood tall, literally, and so does the Titan 48. But unlike the Titans of yore, the Titan 48 is no myth.

Point of fact, when it comes to subwoofers, it's a myth buster. Consider these misconceptions about pro touring subs:

1. A 2x18 is the best sub.

2. Horn loaded subs take up too much floor space and won't fit through narrow doors.

3. Horn loaded subs are too heavy.

And here is The Truth!

1. The T48, loaded with one fifteen, beats any 2x18 reflex sub in sensitivity.

2. The T48's 24x24 inch footprint is no larger than the average reflex sub. Still too wide? You can load the T48 with a twelve for a cabinet width as narrow as 15 inches.

3. A 48x24x24 inch T48 loaded with an Eminence 3015LF driver weighs less than 100 pounds.

Skeptical? Check out this 1 meter/2.83 volt SPL chart, which compares a 90 pound 1x15 Titan 48 to the 184 pound 2x18 EAW SB850R:

And finally, Subwoofer Myth #4: A top of the line Pro Touring sub is going to cost you a bundle. Well, when it comes to the SB850R that's no myth, they list at better than $3,000. But you can build a T48 loaded with a 3015LF for around $400, and if you can't build your own one of our builders can, for about half what a SB850R would cost you.
